In the wake of the horrifying murder-suicide involving Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre appeared on "The Glenn Beck Program" on TheBlazeTV to discuss the push for gun control following the tragedy.
LaPierre also addressed NBC Sports' Bob Costas, who used his platform during Sunday Night Football to support gun control.
"It's just nonsense," he said. "What Bob Costas lost track of is that fact that this is a crime…There are a lot of ways a criminal would have committed that crime. All you have to do is look at O.J. Simpson."
LaPierre also said many nations with "complete gun bans" have higher suicide rates than the U.S., debunking the argument that he may have not committed suicide if he didn't have access to a gun.
