Mitt Romney will evidently never live down the '47 percent

There must be something bigger at work here.

Though the election ended more than a month ago a new Politico/George Washington University poll shows Mitt Romney's favorability/unfavorability rating: Both numbers are tied at 47 percent.

You'll recall Romney was infamously caught on tape during the election at a fundraiser saying that "47 percent" of the country's population is dependent on government. The line was also recently selected as the No. 1 quote of 2012 in the "Yale Book of Quotations."
