There's a "situation" at Fox News. It's from New Jersey, tan and sometimes shirtless.
Geraldo Rivera said on his radio program last week that he might run for U.S. Senate as a Republican in his home state of New Jersey. As these things go at Fox (see Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Sarah Palin), they're keeping an eye on Rivera because if he runs, they'll have to cut him loose from the payroll.
From the New York Times:
Asked whether Mr. Rivera would have to quit or suspend the show if he decided to run, a spokesman for the distributor said, “Talk radio hosts talk about lots of things, and if at some point this is more than talk we’ll address the issue appropriately then.”A Fox News spokeswoman went a little further, saying in an e-mail message, “Geraldo would have to step aside as soon as he made a formal decision, and we’re continuing to monitor the situation.”
