What Does the Controversy Around CPAC's Legitimacy Say About the Conservative Movement?

News came Tuesday that CPAC had invited Donald Trump to speak, creating a bigger cloud of controversy around the legitimacy of the yearly gathering of conservative activists.

Philip Klein of the Washington Examiner described the move as cementing CPAC's “clown show status," as the conference has invited fewer leading Republican office holders this year, and more speakers seen to many to be on the conservative fringe.

On 'Real News' Wednesday the panel debate if CPAC has lost touch with the future of the conservative movement, or are they simply maintaing their position as an independent conservative (not republican) group?
