No, They Haven't Gone Away: Photos From Occupy Wall Street's 'May Day

"Occupy in 2013 is different than was Occupy in 2011."

National Review's Charles C. W. Cooke mingled with Occupy Wall Street in Manhattan's Union Square on Wednesday to get a first-hand look at "May Day" 2013.

There were signs supporting socialism, communism, Leninism, Marxism and much more. Here are some of the sights found at Wednesday's May Day gathering:

"I found a very different group that I saw in 2011," Cooke writes.

He goes on: "Occupy in 2013 is different than was Occupy in 2011. Then, it was an inchoate mess, a public meeting for generally disaffected people who were drawn to protest like so many moths to a flame. Now, a collection of more serious provocateurs — people who sincerely want to tear down society and start over. This is May Day qua May Day, and the second of the month cannot come too soon."
