The 142nd annual NRA convention kicked off in Houston, TX, Friday. Despite a recent political victory with the failure of a strict gun control bill--that the president supported--in the Democrat-controlled Senate, the fight is not over for the NRA and strict defenders of the Second Amendment. POLITICO reports Friday that the vice president is planning a new gun control offensive and will be traveling soon around the country to stump for a renewed push on expanded background checks and gun-trafficking laws.
Several protest groups are expected to be present outside the convention hall through the weekend and the convention will be watched by national media. On 'Real News' Friday the panel discussed the attacks against against the Second Amendment in 2013, and how the text still holds against each of these.
