See What Racist Remarks by Two 'Big Brother' Contestants Led to Their Firings Back Home

Two "Big Brother 15" houseguests have been caught making racist and homophobic remarks in the house and as a result, have lost their "real" jobs back home.

It began last week, when Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman were captured saying things like "go make some rice" in talking about an Asian-American, and referring to a homosexual contestant "queer."  GinaMarie also reportedly referred to welfare as "ni****" insurance."

"We certainly find the statements made by several of the Houseguests on the live Internet feed to be offensive," CBS said in a statement.  "Any views or opinions expressed in personal commentary by a Houseguest appearing on 'Big Brother,' either on any live feed from the House or during the broadcast, are those of the individual(s) speaking and do not represent the views or opinions of CBS or the producers of the program.”

But many were still upset that the remarks were only being aired in the 24/7 livestream, but not making it into the Sunday night program.  That was remedied yesterday, when CBS focused on the issue for much of the show.

According to ABC News Radio, Zimmerman "was released from her position as pageant coordinator for East Coast USA Pageant Inc. over her use of the N-word...while 22-year-old college student [Aaryn Gries] was let go by her modeling agency for the anti-Asian and anti-gay comments she was caught making on camera."

Gries, according to her Big Brother profile, studies psychology at Texas State University.  When asked what she is most proud of, she responded: "I am most proud of my ability to rise above disappointment and press on with a positive and peaceful mind. I am extremely proud that each day, no matter what happens, I do my best to look at every situation in a positive light."

Zimmerman, meanwhile, hails from Brooklyn, New York, said she is most proud of winning Grand Supreme overall pageant title, adding that she plans to use her "personality and popularity to be in the spotlight and make [herself] a household name" while on the show.

Her bosses, apparently, aren't on the same page.

The CEO of East Coast USA Pageant Inc. commented: "We are actually thankful that this show let us see GinaMarie for who she truly is as we would never want her to be a role model to our future contestants ... In a business where we are surrounded by beauty every day we are saddened to see something so ugly come from someone we put on a very high pedestal."
