Huma Abedin calls Weiner 'a better man' in to-be-released column

Case of bad timing...

Human Abedin, wife of New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner (D), praises her husband as "a better man" in a pre-written column which publishes in the September issue of Harpers Bazaar.

This comes after both Weiner and Abedin stood through a press conference Tuesday, wherein Weiner admitted once again that he had written newly-surfaced sex-related messages to other women online.

An excerpt from Abedin's to-be-released column is available at the HB website:

So why am I doing this (campaigning with Weiner)? Because Anthony has always been a smart, caring, and dedicated person, and while he’s the same public servant who wants what’s best for the people he represents, he is now something else—a better man. New Yorkers will have to decide for themselves whether or not to give him a second chance. I had to make that same decision for myself, for my son, for our family. And I know in my heart that I made the right one.
