Thank You, Jesus!': One of the World's Most Famous Porn Stars Finds God, Leaves the Sex Industry

"I have finally encountered the unconditional love of God, and I will never go back."

Jenna Presley was not so long ago a porn star who actively appeared in hundreds of adult films. That has all changed. While many would say the actress may not be the most likely of people to find God, Presley -- real name Brittni Ruiz -- became a Christian last year and left behind the porn industry that brought her fame and fortune.

At the height of her popularity, the actress, now 26, would film up to three sex scenes per day, the Daily Mail reports. Her career, which spanned seven years, not only led to prosperity but also spawned personal chaos as she turned to drugs and alcohol and ended up emotionally distraught.

While she made $900 per movie to start and soon became known as one of the hottest porn stars in the industry, the lifestyle began to take its toll on Ruiz: She started when she was 18 years old and barely had an opportunity to grow up before being thrust into it.

"It left me feeling drained," she said. "I was so robotic, I was like a rubber Barbie doll. I had no emotions, I was no longer Brittni. I became Jenna Presley. I had an alter ego."

At one point, Ruiz began dating a man she met in San Diego and decided to try to get her life in order. But her boyfriend was tragically stabbed to death right in front of her. Considering these challenges and the impact of her career, she tried to take her life and failed. Ruiz recalls feeling "so hopeless and so empty inside."

Things finally changed when the former porn star met Rachel Collins, a Christian pastor who works with XXX Church, a ministry that works to alleviate issues associated with porn, and who has a passion for reaching out to workers in the sex industry.

Ruiz encountered her at a porn convention and the two began to talk, the Daily Mail reports. The actress was impacted by the exchange, filming her last sex scene in November 2012 and now pledging never to go back, having found Jesus.

"I never found love in my life and was looking for it in all the wrong places ... I have finally encountered the unconditional love of God, and I will never go back," she said.

Today, Ruiz is saying "Thank you, Jesus" as she lives a life profoundly different from the one she once knew. Watch the ex-actress share her story, below:

TheBlaze has reported about the XXX Church before. Run by Pastor Craig Gross, XXXChurch.com helps Christians overcome pornography addiction. The group also reaches out to people in the sex industry, like Ruiz, who may be looking for a way out.
