Geraldo Rivera declines 'Dancing with the Stars' invite

Fox News anchor and nude selfie-taker Geraldo Rivera claimed on Twitter Monday that ABC's Dancing with the Stars approached him to compete in the popular dance game show.

"Honored to be asked to do Dancing with the Stars," he wrote. "It's a great show, enduring and energetic. Sorry Deena, but can't for lots of reasons including a bad foot thanks."

Presumably, "Deena" is a reference to Deena Cortese, a cast member of MTV's Jersey Shore, who has publicly expressed interest in dancing in the show.

TheBlaze reached out to a Dancing representative to confirm that Rivera was invited. "We don't comment on casting rumors, sorry," she said.
