Lighting Strike Leads to Shocking Experience for Man at a Creation Museum

"Somehow electricity jumped to one of the lines..."

Lightning struck a zip line at the religious-themed Creation Museum in Kentucky on Wednesday, injuring an employee.

WLWT-TV reported the employee was clearing guests from the museum attraction in light of the electrical storm when he touched an object that had been electrified.

"Somehow electricity jumped to one of the lines and one of our staff, zip line employees was on the ground holding on to one of the lines and got knocked down," Mike Zovath with the Creation Museum told WAVE-TV.

The employee's injuries were not serious but he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

WLWT reported that the 1,700-foot-long zip line 150 feet off the ground is new to the museum this year to attract more guests.

In addition to museum incident, WAVE reported two others were killed by the lightning storm in Garrard County.
