A Texas man was shot to death Saturday after a convenience store owner allegedly caught him stealing a 12-pack of beer, KWTX-TV reported.
Police were called to the scene around 9:00 p.m. and when they arrived, they found the alleged thief had been shot multiple times, including at least once in the head. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police believe the store owner, 52-year-old James Duve, did the shooting. He was arrested and is being charged with murder:
Duve was held Sunday in the Nueces County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bond in the shooting death of the 39-year-old alleged beer thief, KWTX reported.
The shooting victim's name has not been released.
