Dem Senator Announces Bill to Delay Obamacare Mandates Until 2015

Appearing on "The O'Reilly Factor" on Wednesday, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) announced a potential bill that would delay all Obamacare mandates until Jan. 1, 2015.

"No fines whatsoever," Manchin said of the bill he's working on with Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.). "Work out the kinks. Let's fix this thing."

While many argue full repeal is the only real way to "fix" Obamacare, delaying the financial burden for American citizens and businesses until 2015 will still be appealing to many conservatives.

Host Bill O'Reilly said he would "support" the bill and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) probably would too. Rubio has also proposed a bill to delay Obamacare's mandates.

Manchin confirmed that right now he only has three other Democrats who are willing to work with him on the Obamacare delay bill, but said he is confident he can get more support from Democrats.

NBC News reported Wednesday that the White House plans to delay the individual mandate in Obamacare for six weeks following the disastrous rollout so far. However, the White House later refuted the report.

"NBC is wrong again," Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest tweeted. "Individual mandate timing hasnt changed. Deadline for having insurance is March 31. Was true this am. Is true tonight."
