Graphic Sex Scene': These Parents Were in for a Big Surprise When They Took Their Kids to See the New Disney Movie

Some parents found themselves scooping up their children and fleeing for the nearest exit at a Florida movie theater on Friday when a sexually explicit clip was accidentally played.

The incident reportedly unfolded at Regal Cinemas Park Place Stadium 16 in Pinellas Park, Fla., when families arrived to see the latest Disney movie (presumably "Frozen," the company's new animated feature).

There were apparently some technical difficulties in getting the film to play, so the theater ran a different cartoon until the issues were resolved, WTVT-TV reported.

But as the alternative cartoon ran, somehow a sexually explicit clip also appeared on screen -- one that reportedly played for just under two minutes.

While some took their children out of the theater, others, like Lynn Greene, a grandmother, attempted to shield her grandkids' eyes.

"They put in the filler, it looked like 'Steamboat Willie,' the old Mickey Mouse cartoon, and then all of a sudden it goes into this other scene," Greene told WTVT-TV. "

She added, "It seemed like forever when you're trying to, you know, cover a little guy's eyes," Greene added. "I didn't have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good."

One mother commented on the WTVT-TV Facebook page, claiming that she was in the theater when the incident unfolded. Rather than lambasting the theater, she said that the general manager's reaction was good enough for her to offer up forgiveness over the incident.

"I think it's very easy to pass judgement when YOU WEREN'T THERE. The scene that was shown was [a] graphic sex scene. I personally thought the audio of it was the worst part," she wrote. "With that being said, I know it was a awful mistake. The general manager who came and spoke with our theatre was obviously distraught about the whole thing. Her heart felt apology was good enough for me."

Many others shared this same sentiment, though not everyone agreed.

Another parent who wasn't in the theater commented that she believes the incident wasn't an accident and that it might have been done purposefully by "an immature teenage employee who thought it would be funny."

Regardless of what caused the flap, the theater gave everyone in attendance free tickets and staffers are currently investigating why the clip played in the first place.
