The Republican National Committee posted a clarifying message Sunday hours after sending out a tweet that suggested racial discrimination had completely run its course.
The RNC had initially sent out a tweet commemorating the day civil rights activist Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat.

However, following immediate backlash, the GOP sent out a clarifying message.

But that tweet may have been too late to stymie negative attention. On Twitter, users sarcastically used the hashtag "#RacismEndedWhen."
