Video Shows Priceless Reaction of Special Needs Student Learning He Has Been Accepted Into College

"I got accepted?"

A special needs student's ecstatic reaction to learning he had been accepted into college was captured in a video uploaded to the Internet earlier this month.

The video, uploaded Dec. 6, appears to show 20-year-old Down syndrome student Rion Holcombe opening an acceptance letter from Clemson University. Upon learning he was accepted into the South Carolina university's Life program, Holcombe appears stunned.

"I got accepted?" he asks.

"You are going to be a college student next year," a woman can be heard saying in the background.

The Clemson Life program "is designed for students with intellectual disabilities who desire a postsecondary experience on a college campus," according to the university website.

At the time of publication, the video had just under 10,000 views, but appeared to be quickly going viral.
