MSNBC chief answers whether recent controversies 'hurt' network

Phil Griffin, MSNBC president, said in an interview published Wednesday at The Hollywood Reporter that the controversies caused by some of the network's on-air talent in 2013 haven't caused any permanent damage.

"Of course I've talked to everybody in the building about it -- and we move on," Griffin said. "Some of these mistakes are being played out far more inside the media world. I don't think it hurt us in any way."

Current MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry and former ones Alec Baldwin and Martin Bashir started separate stirs in the second half of 2013 controversial comments, each of which ended with public apologies.
