Rev. Wright Blasts Obama -- and Accuses a Different American President of Using 'the N-Word Incessantly'

"Abraham Lincoln liked to tell darkie jokes."

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, President Barack Obama’s fiery former pastor whose controversial sermons made headlines during the 2008 president campaign, delivered a contentious speech aimed, in part, at Obama during a breakfast co-hosted by the Chicago Teachers Union Wednesday.

From lambasting contemporary figures to speaking out about Abraham Lincoln, there was no shortage of controversial commentary coming from the lectern.

“We need to teach the truth about our politicians, from Bush to Barack. Because very clearly it is not about the person, it is about the policies of this government,” Wright reportedly said during the event that commemorated Martin Luther King Jr.’s life. “King said ‘I have a dream.’ Barack said, ‘I have a drone.’”

CNN captured a small snippet of video from the event on a cell phone, as news cameras were not allowed to record Wright's address:

The fiery preacher continued, claiming that Obama has a “kill list” and that “every Tuesday … the president decides who they’re going to kill this week,” according to The Chicago Sun-Times.

"That's not the man of peace that you just talked about," he said of the president. "That's a man controlled by government."

Fox News’ Griff Jenkins, who was at the event, said that Wright had absolutely nothing positive to say about Obama, whom he was once close with.

“No, there were no complimentary remarks whatsoever,” he told TV host Greta VanSusteren. “Again, Greta, we haven't seen Reverend Wright in a while. He is back and he is just the same as always, fired up, very incendiary.”

Wright reportedly also called for the rejection of what he called a “three-headed demon,” which includes “racism, militarism and capitalism,” though it isn’t clear in what context these remarks were made.

Even Abraham Lincoln wasn’t safe from Wright’s scorn during Wednesday’s speech to an audience filled with local teachers and pastors.

“Abraham Lincoln liked to tell darkie jokes. He liked to hear darkie jokes and he used the N-word incessantly,” the preacher continued, according to the Sun-Times.
