An astonishing scene unfolded in San Diego as an SUV was left dangling over a railing Sunday night.

According to KFMB-TV, a man, woman and child were able to safely escape the car after police say the driver was driving too fast, causing him to hit a light pole before crashing into the railing.
The car, however, came to a stop moments before it would have gone tumbling into the road and apartment complex down below.
Authorities say everyone inside the vehicle managed to get out okay.
