What Happened When an Exorcist Used Skype to Try and Expel Purported Demons From a Norwegian Man?

"...an exorcism is the process of expelling an evil spirit from an individual who has become somehow invaded or demonized..."

Evangelical exorcist Bob Larson has long claimed that he has the power to expel demons from the afflicted -- and now he's turning to Skype as a tool to fight intense spiritual battles.

In a recent interview with CNN, Larson shared a live exorcism using the popular online video platform, and also explained what expelling demons actually means.

"In simple terms, an exorcism is the process of expelling an evil spirit from an individual who has become somehow invaded or demonized or possessed by that being -- and sending it back to hell and freeing the person," Larson told the outlet.

The exorcist then invited a CNN reporter to observe one of his Skype sessions. During the encounter, Larson attempted to expel four purported demons from a Norwegian man named David.

Video of the exorcism showed Larson holding a cross and chastising the demonic forces he said afflicted the man.

As the evangelical faith leader attempted to remove the demons, David laughed uncontrollably, mocked Larson and appeared to speak in different voices. In the end, though, both parties seemed to indicate that the exorcism was successful.

Despite questions surrounding the validity of his work, Larson told CNN that the exorcisms are absolutely real. Surely, not everyone will be convinced.

Larson advertises his services online and even offers sessions he calls "Skype Encounters" for those interested in learning more about Christian ministry.

In addition to actual exorcisms, he offers an online "demon test" to help better determine "an individual's spiritual needs."

TheBlaze has covered Larson's efforts in the past to train his daughter Brynne, among others, in her quest to become a teen exorcist.
