George Will is an atheist

Back in December, conservative icon Charles Krauthammer raised some eyebrows for stopping just short of calling himself an atheist.

"There was once a philosopher who said, ‘I don’t believe in God, but I fear him greatly.’ That’s about where I am,” he said in an interview. “I’ve had a fairly difficult and complicated notion of the deity."

What does that mean? Who knows.

But in a recent interview with The New Republic, another conservative hero, George Will, was more definitive.

Asked about his feelings on gay marriage, Will said he's "not depressed" by it, adding he's an "amiable, low-voltage atheist."
