New MSNBC host Ronan Farrow doesn't want to talk about Woody Allen anymore

Whether intentional or not, the dredging up of family drama served to promote the launch of Ronan Farrow's new MSNBC show. But now that it's officially on the air, Farrow is trying to reel in the dirty laundry he helped air out in the first place.

Farrow, 26, is set to be honored for his work in journalism at a charity event Wednesday. According to the New York Post, reporters attending have been asked to sign a pledge that they won't ask Farrow any personal questions, lest they be escorted from the venue.

It's normal for event organizers to want media in attendance to stay focused on the issue at hand. But given the controversy very recently surrounding Farrow -- his mother Mia Farrow told Vanity Fair that he may actually be the son of Frank Sinatra rather than filmmaker Woody Allen, then Ronan publicly sniped at Allen during the Golden Globe awards and then Ronan's sister Dylan rehashed allegations that Allen molested her as a child -- it's only reasonable that he would face questions about it.

To sum things up, at an event celebrating journalism, the press in attendance are being instructed not to ask obvious questions. Interesting.
