A man’s daughter cost him an $80,000 settlement resulting from an age discrimination lawsuit when she took to Facebook to brag about it paying for a family vacation.
Patrick Snay agreed to the settlement after he sued a Miami-area prep school for age discrimination after he was fired as headmaster.
However, the $80,000 settlement came with a specific condition: The man and his wife were prohibited from telling anyone about the details of the settlement. That included their daughter.
Snay’s daughter, Dana, bragged on Facebook that the money from the lawsuit would pay for their family vacation to Europe.
"Mama and Papa Snay won the case against Gulliver. Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT," she wrote.
The short post invalidated the settlement and cost her father $80,000.
