Get Ready for What Might Be the Best Chris Matthews Blooper in a While

It's been a while since we've heard from Chris Matthews. He's back today. With a bang.

During the 2012 election season Matthews made plenty of headlines for his anti-gun, anti-Romney rants. And he even made headlines for his bloopers. But he's been quiet lately. That was the precise problem yesterday when he didn't seem to realize he was live, messed up a guest's name, and then tried to redo it on air -- only to intro about 20 seconds of silence.

It all started when Matthews tried to say goodbye to guest Chris Cillizza. Instead, he called him "Chris Christie." Things went downhill from there.
