Heart-pounding new footage of a stunning rescue from Tuesday's 5-alarm Houston fire surfaced on the Internet late Tuesday — and it shows the tense moment a construction worker was taken to safety by a firefighter.
The video, uploaded to YouTube by user Karen Jones, captures a construction worker trapped on the roof of the building jumping to a lower level to escape the flames shooting out of the on-fire under construction apartment.
After safely landing the incredible jump, a firefighter on a ladder successfully pulls the unidentified man to safety — all as part of the building collapses in the background.
Throughout the video, the individuals watching the daring rescue can be heard exclaiming, "Oh my God," among other things.
No injuries were ultimately reported in the blaze.
