Parents' Nursery Camera Captures Extremely Disturbing Footage

“My stomach was turning."

The Harris County Sheriff's Office in Texas released a chilling video in the hopes that it will help lead to the identity of a suspect who crept through a couple's home and loomed over their baby as he slept.

The incident, which occurred on April 5, was captured by the homeowner's security cameras situated throughout the home, including in the baby's nursery.

According to the police department, the homeowner, Thinh Le, was first tipped off that something was amiss when a neighbor found his laptop and briefcase in their yard. Le didn't leave them outside, saying they were in his home before he went to be the night before.

He later found $60 missing from his wallet.

Le's neighbor, informing him of the items out in the yard, told him to look at his cameras, according to KXAN.

What he and his wife saw was a male, thought to be Hispanic and 16 to 18 years old, wearing a New Era baseball cap with a San Antonio Spurs logo. The most disturbing part of the surveillance footage is when the burglar is in the 2 1/2-year-old's room, shining a light on the toddler in the crib for a moment before moving onward.

“My stomach was turning,” Le said, according to KXAN. “I was really upset [about] what happened.”

“As soon as I know we got broke into, I went in there right away and I checked on him,”Le continued. “I kissed him so hard. I was so happy to see him. He’s OK.”

Watch the footage:

According to KHOU, the burglar went onto break into another home in the same subdivision, but a dog alerted the sleeping couple in this house to the intruder, who was frightened off and escaped.

“He had no problem being in someone’s house, knowing that they were home sleep. That takes a lot of nerve,” Crystal Cox, who found Le's laptop in her yard, told the news station.
