The Truth That Nobody Will Tell You': Beck's Emotional Reaction to the 'Despicable' Cable Industry

"I am seeing the game from the inside, and it's despicable."

Glenn Beck on Friday had an emotional reaction to the latest news with Comcast, which is in talks to merge with Time Warner Cable, and HGTV, which recently canceled a show revolving around two Christian brothers.

"I am seeing the game from the inside, and it's despicable," he remarked on his radio program Friday.

Beck is currently attempting to get his own network, TheBlaze TV, picked up by additional cable providers, but said he's finding that his politics or his religion often get in the way.

"The arrogance on all fronts is just astounding," he said. "And that's why when you call your cable company, they don't care about you. ... Honestly? They don't even care about the American market anymore. All they care about is expanding overseas, because those are growth markets."

"This market is collapsing," Beck continued. "And that's the truth that nobody will tell you."

Beck said whether we like it or not, the world is about to change, and that's why those in power are sending a "very clear" message that "you won't work; you won't eat; you won't be accepted anywhere in society" if you have a different opinion.

"I don't have a big fat bank account anymore," Beck said. "I spent it all on [TheBlaze], and I'm glad I did. But there are companies like Comcast, and others like that, that don't care. They're protecting their future business; they're protecting their cronies."

Beck said that every time a business opportunity falls through because of his politics or religion, he gets on a plane and asks God, "What else can I do?" He is still encouraging his listeners to get involved in the Get TheBlaze campaign, but knows that he must ultimately rely on a higher authority.

Beck said God has brought him to a point where he "cannot stand without him," and his company "cannot function without him."

While he knows there may be temporary power for those who "lean on the power of a golf game" with lawmakers, Beck said he is reassured knowing there is also power in numbers, and that it is far wiser to "rely on power of God."
