Actor Brad Pitt Attacked at Hollywood Movie Premiere

...a history of disrupting Hollywood events.

Brad Pitt was signing autographs and greeting fans at the Hollywood premiere of Disney's "Maleficent" Wednesday night when a man apparently hopped a barrier and struck the actor in the face.

It's unclear whether Pitt was slapped or punched -- or whether his assailant actually intended to hit him in the face -- but the incident was confirmed by Los Angeles Police Sgt. Leonard Calderon, according to CNN.

Here's some raw footage of the attack, though it's difficult to see details of the incident (caution: language):

Suspect Vitalii Sediuk, described as a 25-year-old Ukrainian journalist, reportedly jumped over a barricade at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, before hitting Pitt.

Sediuk, who apparently has a history of disrupting Hollywood events, was arrested on suspicion of battery.

The actor was unhurt during the incident and subsequently continued walking down the carpet with partner Angelina Jolie, according to USA Today.

Here's video of Sediuk's arrest:

Jolie stars in "Maleficent," a film about the popular villain in Disney's 1959 film "Sleeping Beauty."
