Beck said the event, "We Will Not Conform," will air live in movie theaters all across the country, but said it won't be a "show."
He said the event will bring together the "brightest" minds on Common Core, and attendees will have the ability to interact with speakers like Michelle Malkin and David Barton through social media to create a plan to wake up their friends and neighbors and stop the program.
"You are going to have to come with a basic understanding of Common Core," Beck said on his radio program. "But what we are going to do is give you not just the, 'what is Common Core, how does that all work.' We are actually going to take you through a live creation of a plan. We will be joined by 20 other people, and they will drill down into their specific areas of expertise. It includes Michelle Malkin and David Barton; Whitney Neal from FreedomWorks will also be there."
Beck said his company has been working on the event and the book "Conform: Exposing the Truth About Common Core and Public Education" for 18 months, and they are excited to be partnering with Fathom Events for the event.
"What makes this unique is you will be interacting with us live on your cellphone throughout the night," Beck said. "Your comments and feedback will be part of the action plan that is created. There is no defined show."
Beck said that for the past year, legislators, teachers and activists have been meeting at his Texas studios to "hammer out" what is effective in the fight against Common Core. They will share what they have found, and focus on what individuals can do to make their voices heard.
"This is a call to action," Beck said. "You can go to wewillnotconform.com and click "get tickets." You can get your name on the VIP list, you will be notified by email as soon as tickets go on sale."
