When a group of nesting swallows suddenly became locked inside an underground parking garage after locking doors were added, something pretty incredible happened. The birds actually learned how to open the doors — and rather quickly.
The swallows apparently taught themselves how to trigger the motion detectors that open the doors, giving them the ability to come and go as they please.
