She Really Doesn't Know': California Cow That Hangs Out With Dogs Apparently Thinks She's a Dog

Milkshake brings all the dogs to the yard. No, really.

A California rescue cow named Milkshake apparently thinks she's a dog — and when she appears in the yard, all the dogs follow.

“I think a lot of people think it’s like a trick,” Beth DeCaprio of the Grace Foundation, the animal rescue organization that saved Milkshake, told KOVR-TV.

The California cow was rescued four years ago from an abusive owner and has never been around another cow.

“So she hanged out with the dogs, so I think that’s what she assumed—that’s what she is, more than a cow,” DeCaprio told KOVR.

“She really doesn’t know. She was never really around another cow. We got a cow friend for her,” she added.

Milkshake apparently thinks she is part of the dog pack and has even tried to mimic their behavior by climbing into the backseat of the car, KOVR reported.
