Just Watch How Georgetown University Students React When Asked to Donate to the 'Hillary Clinton Fund for Dead Broke Politicians

"I’m dead broke, Hillary."

Former First Lady Hillary Clinton recently revealed that she and her husband were “dead broke” when they left the White House. Her claim — which was significantly undercut by the fact that she received an $8 million signing bonus for her memoir at around the same time — has been mocked relentlessly.

However, Campus Reform’s Caleb Bonham has created the “Hillary Clinton Fund for Dead Broke Politicians” in a valiant effort to make sure future U.S. presidents and their families are not destitute when they leave the White House.

OK, the fund is actually fake — but Clinton should expect to receive some very real (and sarcastic) donations in the mail soon.

Bonham recently visited Georgetown University to ask students to donate to the “Hillary Clinton Fund for Broke Politicians,” though he predictably failed to find people who really sympathize with the former first lady.

“No,” one woman replied bluntly when asked if she would donate. “I’m dead broke, Hillary. So if you want to donate to me, please find me.”

Others were seemingly in disbelief that Clinton would even make the “dead broke” claim.

“That seems kind of crazy that she’d actually have the gall to say that if she’s actually ever going to get elected to anything ever again,” another respondent said when asked about Clinton’s comments.

That’s not to say no one donated.

Bonham told TheBlaze he received a total of $5.63 in donations and he plans to send the money directly to Hillary Clinton.
