A new video posted online by the Ukrainian government purports to show rebels transporting a missile system toward the Russian border early Friday morning.
U.S. intelligence believes such a system was used to shoot down a Malaysia Airlines passenger jet on Thursday, killing 298 individuals on board.
The footage, posted to Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov's Facebook page, appears to show a "Buk" or SA-11 system traveling through Krasnodon, a village close to Russia’s border.
The video appears to show the system missing one of its missiles.
As the Washington Post noted, the system being loaded on a truck might indicate the system's own mobility system is disabled or that speed is a priority for whoever is responsible for transporting it.
