This guy had endured enough jokesters driving all over his lawn.
So the homeowner from Pevely, Missouri, decided to fight back — with a booby trap.
The resident buried a board in the grass along the street with nails sticking out of the ground, which he hoped would flatten the tires of pranksters' cars.
Local police didn't think it was such a good idea, reported KMOV-TV in St. Louis.
“They were painted black and they were buried in the ground, and it made it very difficult to see,” Pevely Police Chief Ron Weeks told the station.
Neighbors understood the guy's plight but agreed that his idea of a booby trap was unsafe.
The city learned about the nail-encrusted boards in May, removed them, and fined the homeowner.
But officials were unsure if they're allowed to ban booby traps — so on Monday the city council plans to vote on a proposed ordinance that would give them the authority to do that.
The unhappy homeowner told KMOV off camera that he's the victim in this case and getting hammered for it.
