Mysterious Woman in Black' Spotted Walking in Ohio Claims to Be an Angel

An angel, on a bible mission or an Islamic Pentagon employee?

She's dressed in all black, she reportedly refuses most offers of help and she's walking — but no one seems to know where she's heading.

The woman in black was spotted in Ohio Thursday, WLWT-TV reported, prompting curiosity from local residents.

WLWT reported that the woman claimed to be an angel.

Two weeks ago, WATE-TV reported that the woman's name was Elizabeth Poles and that she hails from Motts, Alabama.

According to WATE, the woman has given differing accounts of herself and her journey, telling some she was on a Bible mission and telling others that she was a Pentagon employee from an Islamic nation.

When WATE tried to interview her, she apparently stayed mum.

A Facebook page — "Where is the Mysterious Woman in Black?" — tracks her movements and had drawn nearly 20,000 "likes" as of Monday afternoon.

She has been spotted in many states across the southeastern U.S., including Tennessee and Virginia.
