He was slippery and seemingly uncatchable — until his tactics backfired.
A video posted to LiveLeak Monday shows a purported escape attempt gone wrong in Sorriso, Brazil.
According to the video poster, the video shows a thief perched on a rickety roof, and as men clamber up to catch him, he stomps on the roof and sends his pursuers crashing down.

But as the alleged thief moves further away from his pursuers, he stumbles on an apparent truth: He's not much lighter than the other guys.

The man falls through the decrepit structure and, according to the video description, "[He] was arrested by military police minutes later."

In the video, cheers can be heard as the suspected thief is carted off.
