Stubborn driver proves he'd rather completely drown his Jeep than admit defeat to flood waters

Jeep drivers are often very proud of their vehicles' ability do what most cars can't. But one such driver might have overestimated what his SUV could take on — or at least how deep the flood waters actually were.

Just watch:

The Jeep clearly tries to stick to higher ground by lodging itself a few feet above on the sidewalk, but in the end, it wasn't much help. At no point does the driver decide to go back either.

Instead of looking macho and making it through the flooded road, the driver was laughed at by those who filmed his folly. Eventually, the driver was forced to hop out of the passenger side window with the Jeep fully under water.

It's not clear where or when exactly this incident occurred, but it's getting some play on the Internet now.
