Unbelievable: White leftist comedian Russell Brand tells black conservative author Jason Riley how black people should think

Brand mocks Riley: "I am a convenient African-American who will betray my racial roots for Fox News."

The Gateway Pundit reports on a video recorded by leftist British comedian Russell Brand in connection with Fox News' coverage of the ongoing chaos in Ferguson that must be seen to be believed.

Kristinn Taylor, guest posting at Gateway Pundit set the stage for the breathtaking video thusly:

Imagine the sense of superiority it takes for a liberal white man to lecture a black man on how to think black.

Now imagine the sense of superiority it takes a British liberal white man to lecture an American black man on how to think black.

Then, imagine the supremacist sense of superiority it takes a wealthy British liberal white man to lecture a successful American black man on how to think black while said wealthy British white liberal man is being filmed lecturing the successful American black man on how to think black while the aforementioned wealthy British liberal white man sits in the back seat of a chauffeur-driven limousine while being driven around London and then putting the video of the lecture on You Tube for all the world to see.

And then imagine the racist attack by the wealthy British liberal white man being filmed while he sits next to a seven year old child in the back of the chauffeur driven limousine.

This is what Brand does in a video published several days ago in which he savages recent Blaze Books interviewee, frequent Fox News contributor and Wall Street Journal Editorial Board member Jason Riley, who recently published "Please Stop Helping Us: How Liberals Make It Harder for Blacks to Succeed," a book we have covered in some depth.

Here are just a smattering of quotes from Brand on Jason Riley:

  • Mimicking an introduction given by Fox News' Bret Baier to Riley, Brand mockingly states "Author of the book: "I am a convenient African-American who will betray my racial roots for Fox News."
  • After dismissing Riley's arguments that it is a "dodge" to attribute black criminality to poverty or racism out of hand, Brand mocks  Riley stating "Could he [Riley] have any more of a 'Richard Pryor doing a white person' type voice."
  • In response to Riley's argument that having grown up in an inner city neighborhood and dealing with cops, it was not that hard to avoid putting himself in a situation where he was likely to be shot by a cop, Brand mocks: "Just bow down to authority at every possibility. Never confront injustice. Keep your mouth shut. Why not write a book called 'Kick me in the ass all day long, I'll do as I'm told.'"
  • After describing Riley's positions on black criminality as "freakish," Brand says "I'm a white person and I'm outraged...almost racially by this sense of betrayal."
