Stop the Tape! Right There!': Rush Limbaugh Alleges 'Major Break' in Relationship Between the Clintons and Black America

"That's the first time I have ever heard anybody in the Democrat Party tell the truth about Hillary Clinton's purpose and presence in Selma."

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday offered “informed speculation” on what he called a “major break” in the Clintons' relationship with black America.

Limbaugh first noted that the Clintons have gone “nowhere near” Ferguson, Missouri, since the controversial police-involved shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown. When former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was asked about her reaction to the situation in Ferguson, she ignored the question completely.

Limbaugh then played CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill’s disappointed reaction to Hillary's no-comment answer to set up the point he was about to make.

“Her decision to ignore the question and to not proactively and assertively address the Ferguson issue is shameful. Hillary Clinton should be ashamed of herself. The Clintons have made so much of their political bones on the backs of black voters, getting black support, getting black love, identifying black causes,” Hill says in the audio.

“Stop the tape! Right there!” Limbaugh interrupted. “Marc Lamont Hill is admitting that the Clintons and the black community has always been a game. It's always been an arrangement. It’s always been a mutually beneficial arrangement. It has always been a game. In other words, it isn't real. It's manufactured or it's strategic. ‘The Clintons have made so much of their political bones on the backs of black voters.’ That means black voters have propped them up.  That means the Clintons have used black voters.”

The radio host then continued playing Hill’s remarks: “Hillary Clinton will go to Selma 2008 and clap with black people and put on a fake Southern accent and pretend to identify with black struggle and black pain.”

“Stop the tape!” Limbaugh interrupted again. “That's the first time I have ever heard anybody in the Democrat Party tell the truth about Hillary Clinton's purpose and presence in Selma. The first time.”

He also said Hill may be only one guy, but he "speaks for a lot of people" who are upset that the Clintons haven't shown support for Michael Brown.

The bottom line, Limbaugh claimed, the Clintons have avoided Ferguson because there must be polling data that suggests “people aren’t buying the gentle giant version of the story.”
