Story by the Associated Press; curated by Oliver Darcy.

RICHMOND, Calif. (AP) — A commuter bus has crashed into a San Francisco Bay Area home, and nine people have been taken to the hospital. But police say none of the injuries are serious.

It happened around 6 p.m. in Richmond.

Richmond police Lt. Andre Hill tells KGO-TV (https://abc7ne.ws/1wc2GJy ) that an AC Transit bus was hit by a stolen car and crashed into a house on 18th Street and Burbeck Avenue.

The front of the bus crashed into the side of the house.

He says three people inside the home escaped serious injury.

Hill says the bus driver and all eight passengers were taken to a hospital but their injuries aren't serious.

Hill says police are searching for the driver of the stolen car, but a passenger was taken into custody.
