A new map created by CityLab purports to reveal the states with the highest percentage of single people.
According to the data used to make the map, Louisiana and Rhode Island have the highest percentage of single adults, with 55.7 percent.
New York followed at 55.4 percent and Mississippi came in right behind the Empire State with a rate of 54.9 percent of adults being single.
Data also revealed that singles make up more than half the population in the more than six in ten metro regions, or more specifically 230 of 366, according to CityLab.
Earlier this month it was revealed that for the first time in history, single people make up the majority of Americans.
