Look at the Officer in the Dugout From Wednesday's MLB Game — There's a Good Reason He Appears to Motion for Help
October 02, 2014
If it appeared as though the Pittsburgh Pirates looked a little lost Wednesday night as the San Francisco Giants handed them an 8-0 National League wild-card playoff game defeat, you might say the same thing about one of their fans.
In a blink-or-you'll-miss-it moment, cameras caught a woman dressed in a Pirates jersey chatting with an officer in the Giants dugout.

The cameras were trained on Hunter Pence trotting down the steps and walking the length of the dugout after he lined out in the second inning, but the more interesting focal point was the brief conversation between the woman and the officer in the background.

The officer, likely not knowing how she got there, seemed at a loss as how to proceed and started motioning, apparently for some kind of assistance.

Once you wrap your head around things, you might find yourself asking a few questions:
- Why is a woman dressed in a Pirates jersey in the Giants dugout?
- How did she access the dugout?
- Is she lost?
It likely matters little to the Giants, who are gearing up to play the Washington Nationals in one of the National League's division series starting Friday, but the Pirates may want to look into this one.
