Former Texas Congressman Ron Paul predicted that Republican control of the U.S. Senate would result in "expanded neocon wars in Syria and Iraq."
"Boots on the ground are coming," he wrote on Twitter.
Republican control of the Senate = expanded neocon wars in Syria and Iraq. Boots on the ground are coming!

Republicans had already picked up two of the six seats needed to take control of the Senate on Tuesday. In West Virginia, Rep. Shelley Moore Capito beat her Democratic challenger and Rep. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) also pulled of a big win, defeating Democratic incumbent Mark Pryor in the Arkansas Senate race.
There were 435 House seats on the ballot, thought less than 10 percent of those were expected to be competitive.
This story has been updated to correct previous headline that incorrectly cited "Rand Paul" instead of Ron Paul.
