A 22-year-old's alleged attempt to rob a woman Tuesday night fell apart when she realized that his gun was a toy — but, that was only the start of the man's problems.

According to KOMO-TV, the suspect approached a woman taking a smoke break outside a bar in an alley and asked her for a cigarette. When she told him she didn't have another, he pulled out a gun and pointed it at her, police said.
That's when the woman made a key observation about the supposed firearm: it had an orange tip, signaling it was a toy. According to police, she then ripped it out of the suspect's hands and threw it over a fence, KOMO reported. Shortly after, she walked inside the bar.
While talking to her friends, she told them of the incident that occurred outside. According to police, one of her pals grew angry and stormed outside to find the suspect still hanging around the scene.
The woman's friend started shoving the individual and the suspect became increasingly frightened. According to police, he ran from the scene in terror while yelling for someone to dial 911. The woman he had earlier allegedly attempted to rob obliged.
Police ultimately arrived at the scene and were able to locate the suspect. The man was booked into jail for investigation of attempted robbery, KOMO reported.
