A high school student in Sikeston, Missouri, was suspended Tuesday after downloading a photo of a gun to his iPad and having two batteries with the labels torn off, causing some to mistake the batteries for bullets.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety dispelled the rumors that the student had a gun on campus.
Officials at Sikeston High School, including Superintendent Tom Williams, did not immediately respond to calls from TheBlaze asking if the student is still suspended.
