Who thinks government employees work harder than those in the private sector? Almost nobody.
November 07, 2014
Rasmussen Reports released a survey on Friday that said only 9 percent of Americans think government employees work harder than people in the private sector.
The polling firm said 61 percent of those polled think private sector workers work harder than government employees. But that’s actually a drop of 8 points from the prior Rasmussen survey.

Most of that drop was reflected in a 7 point increase in those who weren’t sure who works harder at their jobs. Rasmussen said in its latest poll, 30 percent weren't sure.
Rasmussen surveyed 1,000 adults in early November for its poll, which asked respondents directly, “Who works harder, government workers or workers in the private sector?”
In another poll released Friday, 59 percent of those surveyed by telephone say it is likely that most voters will be disappointed with Republicans by the 2016 presidential election.
