"...you, like me, are a beloved child of our heavenly Father God..."
Nearly one year after a man brutally beat and raped a nun in a Pennsylvania church parking lot, he's been brought to justice, sentenced to 18 1/2 to 37 years in prison.
The nun's reaction: forgiveness.
Sending another nun to the courtroom to read a statement on her behalf, the 86-year-old nun who was raped told her attacker:
You, Andrew, are my brother, and you, like me, are a beloved child of our heavenly Father God. And our Father asks of his children to love one another and forgive one another. And, this I do, Andrew, by God's merciful grace. My profound and permanent prayer for you, Andrew, is that you wholeheartedly take advantage of the educational, uplifting, socially positive opportunities that may be available during your prison time.
Andrew Bullock was 18 years old when he attacked the nun in a church parking lot in December 2013, raping her and beating her so badly that she could not speak to police immediately after the attack but had to communicate with pen and paper instead.

Bullock reportedly admitted to the crime, and received his prison sentence on Wednesday.
