CNN Anchor Likely Wasn't Expecting This to Happen Live on the Air as He Reported on ‘Peaceful’ Pro-Michael Brown Protests in NYC

"Alright, got it, Miguel."

As CNN anchor Miguel Marquez reported on “peaceful” protests in New York City supporting 18-year-old Michael Brown, the man killed by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, he was likely caught off guard by the chants that quickly drowned out his own voice.

“This is a very peaceful protest,” he reported. “People are extremely upset though, and as we have gone through the night, the anger, the level of voices has only gotten louder.”

Suddenly, chants of “f*** CNN!” derailed the live report. The chants continued to get louder, with one man also flipping off the camera while chanting.

Despite media critics' claims that the media have been biased against Wilson, protesters have been hostile towards mainstream media outlets.

“Alright, got it, Miguel,” CNN host Anderson Cooper said, clearly thrown off by the explicit chant that made it on the air.
