If you happen to catch any of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC, you are treated to a plethora of musical performances. Everyone from Broadway stars to radio icons belt it out on 34th Street. Or more accurately, their recorded voices belt it out.
It's not hard to see that lip-syncing takes center stage during the festivities. But if you (or some of your family members) still hold out hope that the artists are actually singing, we're about to burst your bubble.
See, when the group American Authors got their chance to "sing" their hit "Best Day of My Life," they blew their cover. When the music and the singing started, they didn't put the microphones up to their mouths and instead continued waving. The NBC camera tried to quickly cut away, but it was too late.
