Seth Meyers Issues Challenge to Sony Hackers That NBC Wants Nothing to Do With

"We here at NBC do not endorse the views of Seth Meyers. The views of Seth Meyers are his alone."

"Late Night" host Seth Meyers dared the Sony hackers to hack his email and attempt to target NBC during a new segment called "Bring It On" Thursday night.

"Hey hackers, you're probably feeling pretty good about yourself right now. Fox and Paramount both canceling projects that could potentially offend North Korean interests and after you hacked Sony they caved into your demands and pulled 'The Interview' from theaters," he said.

"Well, we here at NBC would love to see you try that with us," Meyers continued. "Go ahead, hack into our email servers. Publish our internal correspondence. You know what, go ahead and hack into my personal email."

A message was then jokingly displayed on-screen reading, "We here at NBC do not endorse the views of Seth Meyers. The views of Seth Meyers are his alone."

On Friday, the FBI formally accused North Korea of being responsible for the devastating attack against Sony that resulted in the motion picture company pulling "The Interview."

The FBI said in a statement it has enough evidence to conclude that North Korea was behind the punishing breach, which resulted in the disclosure of tens of thousands of leaked emails and other materials.

Obama said Friday that the U.S. will respond to the attack in a proportionate manner.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
